Oaklight is seeking a Siting Project Manager to lead routing and siting studies for linear infrastructure projects. This role blends project management duties, technical research, GIS coordination, field assessments, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory strategy. Key Responsibilities
Lead routing and siting studies for transmission, substation, pipeline, and renewable energy projects.
Assume account management responsibilities within a growing portfolio of clients.
Coordinate desktop reviews, prepare siting maps and constraints analyses, and support site selection processes.
Prepare routing memos, impact assessments, and defensible siting reports that meet state utility commission requirements.
Participate in field reconnaissance ("windshield surveys") and routing ground-truthing.
Support or lead the preparation of materials for permitting and NEPA documentation.
Participate in public meetings, open houses, and/or agency consultations.
Communicate routing rationale and environmental constraints to clients, the public, and regulators.
Coordinate with GIS, environmental, and cultural resource teams to ensure cohesive deliverables.
Assist with QA/QC of siting maps, route comparisons, and related documentation.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience conducting routing and siting studies or related infrastructure planning work.
Demonstrated knowledge of siting processes, environmental constraints analysis, and utility commission requirements.
Excellent technical writing and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Willingness to travel for public meetings and fieldwork as needed.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and field data collection tools such as Collector or Survey 123.
Background in environmental permitting, NEPA, or linear infrastructure permitting.
Experience contributing to state filing applications for electric utility or energy infrastructure siting boards. Expert witness experience is a plus.
Work Environment
Daily work schedule may vary depending on project needs.
Remote and in-office work arrangements are available.

Oaklight offers competitive compensation and benefits. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus from time to time, considering, among other things, exceptional individual and corporate performance.
